fitting the spherical eyeball into your subjects skull is a great challenge. I would leave any/all eye detail out of your heads and faces.
I worked my way up the face/head ladder by doing a lot of head shape sketching and alot of big crosses on the midline and eyeline of the face as positioning practice.
